FREE AUDIO TOUR FOR USE WITH GOOGLE STREET VIEW!
Until you can come to Edinburgh, let 7 Hills Tours and Google Street View bring Edinburgh and its wonderful history to you! We’ve created a free part-by-part audiovisual tour of the upper third of Edinburgh’s iconic Royal Mile, telling stories of the Old Town, and picking out fascinating details – all the way from the Castle gates down to the Lawnmarket. The sections are 20-30 minutes long, and you can pause the audio and browse on the topics and people we meet at any time. Just tee up Google Street View at the start point for each episode, start the audio, and you’re off into Old Edinburgh!
Once normal visiting is resumed, look out for our planned audio walking tour tracks, which will cover the other sections of the Royal Mile!
Episode 1 - The Castle and Esplanade - starting point Castle Esplanade, in front of Castle gate
Episode 2 - Castlehill - starting point Castle Esplanade, looking down Royal Mile
Episode 3 - The Upper Bow to Cowgate - starting point foot of Castlehill
Episode 4 - The Lawnmarket - starting point foot of Castlehill
